When is the best time of the year to start my landscaping project?
Spring and fall are usually a great time to start any project that involves a growing landscape due to the moderate weather and predictable rainfall. With that being said, don’t wait to contact us as our schedules are also the busiest during these seasons. Plan early so we can execute when the season is right!
How often should I water my lawn in Whatcom County?
Generally, it is recommended that a lawn receive about 1” of water each week. During the spring this usually happens naturally while the summer and fall require help from an irrigation system.
What is better for a new lawn installation, sod or hydroseed?
Hydroseeding is a great option for new lawn as it has components to trap moisture and allow the grass seed to germinate exceptionally fast. This is usually more cost effective especially on larger lawns and with irrigation systems to properly water in the seed. During the dormant months, sod is a great option to have an instant lawn when seed won’t grow. Either way, water is key!
